Do you ever look back on the movies you watched as a kid and think, "How was THAT appropriate for my childhood?" Maybe these disturbing children's shows and movies have contributed to our childhood trauma. Or maybe we are more disturbed by them as adults than we ever noticed as kids because we were so into the action.
FTN contributors Jeff McGee, Darth Taxus, and Regina Davis join Scott to discuss these movies and shows. The group examines some scary, dark, and disturbing themes and how they might not have truly been appropriate for children.
The discussion includes Cloak & Dagger, The Goonies, The Wizard of Oz, The NeverEnding Story, the Muppet movies and more.
Jeff and Regina are co-hosts on a podcast called The Pilot Episode where they watch and review the first episode of different TV shows.
Jeff also co-hosts Star Wars Splash Page where he and Matt Moore discuss that week’s Star Wars Comics. Both podcasts can be found on Marvin Dog Media.
Regina also co-hosts Comic Book Noob with Scott Murray and Matt Moore.
Darth Taxus is currently playing country and western music with Gene Tobin around Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Scott shares his thoughts about Season 2 of The Mandalorian. This week's special guest is artist Luke Flowers, whose career includes providing artwork for several children's books and popular characters (Mister Rogers, The Muppets, etc.). His latest book, Labyrinth: The ABC Storybook re-tells the story of the iconic Jim Henson movie through the letters in the alphabet. It's a book that should please fans of all ages.
